Document Description
Recirculated Initial Study with Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration and Environmental Assessment (IS/EA). Two additional project alternatives have been added to the project and are being circulated for public review. All original alternatives (1, 2, and no-build) as well as the new alternatives (3 and 4) are under consideration for the project.
Alternative 3 would construct 10' multiuse sidewalk paths (pedestrian and cyclist use) on both sides of US 395, and would also allow on-street parallel parking on both sides of US 395.
Alternative 4 would construct a 10' pedestrian-only sidewalk on the northbound side of US 395 and instead of allowing on-street parking on this side of the highway would construct a bicycle lane and painted buffer lane between vehicle lanes and the sidewalk. The southbound side of US 395 would be the same for both Alternatives 3 and 4 (10' multi-use sidewalk path and on-street parking allowed).
