The Project proposes to construct a 2,217-foot-long tieback soldier pile retaining wall to restore the structural integrity of SR 1, within the Project limits. Additional work includes replacing the storm drain system, burying the wall with an embankment confinement system (ECS), widening the existing 0 to 4-foot shoulders to 4-foot shoulders in the northbound and southbound directions, and upgrading existing metal beam guardrail to Midwest guardrail system.
