Document Description
The Project consists of development and operation of groundwater monitoring wells in the Perris North Sub-basin. The Project Includes construction and operation of 16 monitoring well clusters with up to four wells each; for a maximum of 64 Individual wells. Monitoring wells would be located within roadway rights of way evaluated in this 2023 Subsequent IS/MND or within private parcels evaluated in the 2022 Revised IS/MND. All roadway right-or-way locations would be within the City of Moreno Valley. This Subsequent IS/MND evaluates a series of street lengths In the vicinity of the preferred roadway right-of-way locations. Two well clusters, MW-14 and MW-16, would be constructed within parcels Identified In the 2022 Revised IS/MND and would not be located within road rights-of-way. Wells would be drilled to a maximum depth of between 60 feet to 420 feet below ground surface depending on the location. Above ground disturbance for each well duster measures approximately 3,000 square feet. Once operational. well data would be collected remotely on a monthly basis. Site visits would be made quarterly to conduct maintenance and collect samples. Data would be used to help Improve EMWD's understanding of the basin groundwater quality and help In making informed decisions on management of the basin.
