Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-SDO-25923-R5, pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, City of Del Mar. The proposed project includes the excavation or dredging of accumulated material from the San Dieguito River within historically maintained channel areas already approved for Southern California Edison under SAA 1600-2020-0184-R5. The project will be constructed using equipment such as a dredge, excavators, trucks, booster pump, and grading equipment. Earthmoving equipment will be used to excavate sand from unvegetated areas of the channel within sand bar deposits in the channel excavation envelope. Recently accumulated sand is anticipated to be removed using an excavator and either directly placed in the bed of a rear dump truck or placed in a stockpile that a front end loader would use to scoop and place it into a dump truck. The trucks will then transport the sand to the beach placement site and place the sand.
