The proposed Westside Canal Battery Storage Project involves the construction and operation of a utility-scale energy storage complex with a capacity of approximately 2,000 MW on approximately 163.32- acres of land owned by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Imperial Irrigation District (IID), and private landowners. The proposed project will be constructed in 3 – 5 phases over a 10-year period with each phase ranging from approximately 25 MW to 400 MW per phase.
