Document Description
DWR will install fire detection and alarm systems in the O&M Center. Upgrades will be made to the: administrative buildings HVAC and installation of a fire suppression system; surveillance unit and warehouse buildings HVAC and install 112.5 kVA transformer; general maintenance warehouse's roll-up door, HVAC, and installation of suppression system in plans office and closet. DWR will install a new hot water heater and emergency eye wash and shower, replacement fire water pump, install jockey pump and controller in the water treatment building. All equipment staging and work is within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves safety improvement to existing facilities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. Because this activity can be implemented without any significant environmental impacts, the Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance.
