Document Description
Cal-Ore Communications, Inc. is proposing to place 1-1.25" duct and 1-Futurepath 7-way duct within Caltrans' right-of-way east of the northbound lane of Interstate 5 in Siskiyou County from post mile 16.56 to 16.80. To complete this work, a 10-foot-wide corridor located approximately 10 feet west of the right-of-way fence would be cleared of most vegetation. After clearing vegetation, a trench measuring approximately 42 inches deep, 24 inches wide, and 1,250 feet in length would be excavated. The aforementioned ducts would then be placed into trench and fiber optic cable would be pulled through the Futurepath 7-way duct. The trench would then be backfilled with soil.
