Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0965-R 1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Magdalena Eneva. The project is limited to four encroachments. The four proposed encroachments will improve, restore, and remediate a stream crossing, an existing on stream pond, the head of a Class Ill stream, and a gully connected to a Class Ill stream. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.

The project to be completed is located within the Steelhead Creek and Eel River watersheds, approximately 3.8 miles southwest of the town of Alderpoint, County of Humboldt, State of California. The project is located in Section 6, T4S, R5E, Humboldt Base and Meridian; in the Fort Seward U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute quadrangle; Assessor's Parcel Number 216-393-007; latitude 40.14 N and longitude 123.67 W.

Reasons for Exemption
The four proposed encroachments will improve, restore, and remediate a stream crossing, an existing on stream pond, the head of a Class Ill stream, and a gully connected to a Class Ill stream. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
