Document Description
The City of Shafter is proposing the following enhancements for Mannel Park: 1.) enhance public picnic and gathering areas in the park, 2.) convert one area to a dog park, and 3.) replace the existing park irrigation system for improved water use efficiency. The enhancements to public picnic and gathering areas include adding covered canopies for shade, designated areas for water and electrical service, new benches and tables secured to concrete pads, and grills. The dog park is intended to meet public demand for this type of activity area. The new irrigation system will improve water efficiency for the park and enhance the health and appearance of park grass and trees.
