The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide funding in the amount of $100,000 to the Resource Conservation District of Tehama County to complete pre-implementation surveys for rare plants, noxious weeds, sensitive wildlife species, and cultural resources; a strategic wildfire risk assessment; a Minimum Requirements Analysis, and prepare a proposed action and purpose and need document to support future NEPA and CEQA compliance. This planning and environmental compliance would support future implementation of the lshi Fire Restoration Project, with the goal of achieving healthy and resilient landscapes, minimizing the threat of natural disturbances such as fire around their local communities and cultural sites, and protecting water resources.
