The purpose of the Project is to preserve and extend the life of the existing pavement along State Route (SR) 1 in Marin County. The Project is also needed to repair and upgrade SR 1 facilities to meet current Caltrans standards and comply with Design Information Bulletin 81-02: Capital Preventative Maintenance Guidelines.
