Document Description
The proposed project consists of an application for Coastal Development Permit No. 17-118 for the demolition of portions of the Paradise Cove mobile home park’s wastewater treatment system, abandonment of a septic tank and installation of a new wastewater treatment system, including a water recycling plant, electrical equipment on concrete pads, a new pipeline and construction of a new building housing sludge and disinfection equipment, and retaining walls. The project requires Variance No. 20-004 for a reduced front yard setback for construction of the upgraded wastewater treatment plant and a retaining wall in excess of 42 inches in height (up to six feet) and Variance No. 20-005 for a reduced setback from environmentally sensitive habitat area. Demolition Permit No. 20-005 is also required. Most of the work has been completed without the benefit of permits. In compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration have been prepared for the project. Entitlements requested for the proposed project include: • Coastal Development Permit (CDP) No. 17-118 • Variance Nos. 20-004 and 20-005 • Demolition Permit No. 20-005 • Initial Study 20-001 • Mitigated Negative Declaration No. 20-001
