Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0905-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Howard Dashiell, representing Mendocino County Department of Transportation. The project replaces an existing, failing culvert with one sized and installed to current standards. To accommodate the size of the new culvert and maintain stream gradient, approximately 50 feet of stream channel will be deepened and redefined at the inlet side. At the outlet, a few feet of stream channel will be excavated to accommodate the deeper culvert and some rock dissipation may be added.

The project replaces an existing culvert at the same location with one sized to pass the 100-year flow and installed to current standards. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. The new culvert will have the same purpose and capacity.
