Document Description
To modify an existing pumping plant including the removal and replacement of an existing 12-inch diameter pressurized water pipe; replace existing 1-1/2-inch diameter electrical conduit with a 2-inch diameter electrical conduit; and install a 5-foot x 5-foot vault housing, a new siphon breaker and and butterfly valve.

Board staff has determined the project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 2, Replacement and Reconstruction categorical exemption (CEQA Guidelines §15302) because the activity consists of the removal and replacement of an existing pumping station with substantially the same purpose and capacity. Further, none of the exceptions to the exemption in CEQA Guidelines §15300.2 apply.
