Document Description
Upgrade the existing USGS seismic monitoring equipment at Montana de Oro State Park for the "ShakeAlert" statewide earthquake early warning system. USGS employees will complete the following work: • Remove the existing solar panel, antenna, support post and two (2) existing 16-inch diameter culverts; • Clear and level a 35-foot long by 5-foot wide area and excavate up to 0.5 cubic yards soil for new concrete pads and conduit; • Install two (2) 6-inch thick concrete pads; and • Install up to four (4) 2 foot x 4 foot solar panels; two (2) 2 foot x 2 foot x 3 foot metal boxes to house sensors, a battery and radio; and a 25 foot long conduit.
