Reasons for Exemption
The project is an addition of safety protection device for use in conjunction with existing structures. No littoral vegetation will be removed. No pilings will be driven into the lakebed. All work in the lake will occur when no water is present in the project area. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
