Document Description
The Fruitridge Community Center & Park Restoration Project consists of various improvements to the park including parking lot expansion and entryway improvements, reconstruction of the gazebo, construction of a pump house/storage building, installation of a solar shade structure, creation of new soccer fields including an all-season (artificial turf) field, creation of a community garden, resurfacing of the basketball and tennis courts, new pathways and lighting throughout the site, and improvements to the parks landscaping, irrigation systems, and drainage.

Reasons for Exemption
The project involves numerous minor onsite improvements each of which meet the definition of a categorical exemption under Article 19 of the California Code of Regulations and would not have a significant effect on the environment. Furthermore, none of the exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply to the project. Therefore, the proposed Fruitridge Community Center and Park Restoration Project is exempt from the provisions of CEQA. See NOE for Full Details.
