Reasons for Exemption
The Project involves minor alterations as all new facilities under this project are located on publicly-owned land. The new wells have an individual capacity of 20 gpm and a combined capacity of 30 gpm, less than the existing well's capacity of 48 gpm. The old well and treatment plant are still in place but serve as backup facilities for the new wells and treatment plant. The new storage tank was built directly on the site of the old storage tank. The old and new storage tank diameters are 37 feet and 47 feet, respectively, each with a 250,000 gallon capacity. During construction of the new storage tank, three 7,650- gallon storage tanks were temporarily installed adjacent to the storage tank site to provide potable water storage. The old storage tank and the temporary storage tanks have been removed from the premises.
