Reasons for Exemption
The Project consists of the construction of one (1) replacement groundwater monitor well. The monitor well will be cased with six (6) inch diameter PVC pipe that provides for measuring groundwater depth and sampling groundwater quality. The groundwater monitoring well is required by the Regional Water Quality Control Board. Access to the well will be by means of a Iidded lockable box that is installed flush to the ground. Excavation for the twelve ( 12) inch diameter well hole will be less than three (3) cubic yards. The adjacent surface will be restored to original grade.
