Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20, Section 66270.61, has issued an Emergency Permit to the Environmental Tech. Inc (EPA ID# CAD983592684) to treat hazardous waste through controlled reactions with chemical solutions. Specifically, one 10-liter container of Tetrahydrofuran, one 1-liter container of Styrene, one 1- quart container of Butyl Acrylate, one 1-quart container and.one 20-liter container of Trimethylpropane Triacrylate, two 1- quart containers of Monoacrylate, one 1-quart container of Methyl Methacrylate, one 1-quart container of Methacrylic Acid, three 1-quart containers of Acrylic Ester, and one 10-liter container of Nitrocellulose must be stabilized prior to transport to an authorized hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility. These chemicals are currently being stored at Environmental Tech. Inc located at 300 S. Bay Depot Road, Fields Landing, California 95537. DTSC has determined as a safety precaution to prevent an accident or severe injury, an Emergency Permit should be issued to chemically stabilize the hazardous waste prior to storage and eventual transportation off-site by Clean Harbors Environmental Services (CHES).
