Document Description
California State Parks proposes to acquire a 33-acre parcel, commonly known as the Whalen Property, from the Sempervirens Fund to add this parcel to the adjacent Castle Rock State Park. The Castle Rock State Park General Plan identified the property as the ideal entrance site for the park. The parcel was purchased by the Sempervirens Fund expressly to be a new entrance for Castle Rock State Park and presently contains a park entrance and associated facilities that include a 90-car parking lot, restrooms, amphitheater, water fountains, new trails, trailheads, and interpretive facilities.
