The applicant is requesting approval of a Major Use Permit to allow for the development of a small-scale bioenergy production facility using woody biomass to produce syngas and biochar. The syngas will power the generators that run the system. Biochar is a by-product of the bioenergy process that functions as an agricultural or forestry soil amendment.
