Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number PLA-45692-R2, pursuant to
section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Placer County – Department of Public Works. The project includes the replacement of the existing one lane suspension bridge over the North Fork American River with a new arch suspension bridge with two-lanes and increased weight capacity. Additionally, the existing Yankee Jims Road Bridge will be strengthened to facilitate construction and will then remain in place as a historic structure. The total project area encompasses approximately 133 acres, including approximately 7 miles of roadway improvements along Yankee Jims Road leading to the existing Yankee Jims Bridge. Roadway
improvements include the repair/replacement of 14 culverts at 10 ephemeral drainage
crossings.
