Document Description
Project will install split rail fencing along the south side of Summit Road north of the Lookout Point Picnic Area at Mount Diablo State Park to protect vegetation and prevent unauthorized off-road vehicle access. Work will: • Use hand tools or a gas-powered two-person auger to dig holes up to 3' deep x 1 O" diameter at 8' intervals along 100' of the south side of Summit Road; • Install a fence post in each hole with approximately 3'1" above grade; • Use hand tools to backfill around the posts with excavated soils and compact the soils to secure the posts; • Attach split rails to the posts, with top rail approximately 2'7" above grade; and • Spread any remaining excavated soils on site.
