Reasons for Exemption
The project involves minor alterations as all new facilities under this project are located on publicly-owned fence-enclosed land. The new well and treatment plant have a capacity of 60 gallons per minute (gpm), matching the old well capacity. The old well and treatment system are still in place but serve as backup facilities for the new well and treatment plant. The old well and treatment system will not operate simultaneously with the new well and treatment plant. New Storage Tank #2 was built directly on the site of old Storage Tank #1. New Storage Tank #1 replaces, but is not built on the same site as, old Storage Tank #2. New Storage Tank #1 is adjacent to new Storage Tank #2. Both old storage tanks have been removed from the premises.
