Document Description
Install 7-8 interpretive panels (of varying sizes) and support stanchions inside and outside the historic core of the Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park to replace existing interpretive signage. New interpretive panels will be as follows: • Panels 1-6 will be approximately 20" X 3", mounted on a single post installed in concrete in an 8" diameter by 24" deep hole; • Panel seven (7) will be 24" X 48", mounted on two (2) 2" X 4" posts installed in concrete in an 8" diameter by 30" deep hole; and • Panel eight (8) will be 36" X 48", mounted on two (2) 2" X 4" posts installed in concrete in an 8" diameter by 36" deep. Holes will be excavated by hand or with an auger, depending on soil conditions. The existing single post stanchions will be removed as part of the project.

Project consists of the maintenance and minor alteration of existing public or private structures, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels; the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures where the new structure is located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose as the structure replaced; the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures, and is included as "interpretive signing or panels" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR §15300.4; and the minor public or private alteration in the condition of land and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
