Document Description
The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is proposing refinements to the Delta Conveyance Project previously evaluated in the Delta Conveyance Project Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) certified in December 2023. Specifically, through the California Endangered Species Act compliance process, DWR worked with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to ensure that the Delta Conveyance Project will include species-specific minimization and avoidance measures and will fully mitigate potential impacts. As a result, refinements have been made to the Final EIR project description, including refinements related to project operations. The operational refinements include modified bypass flow criteria compared to the criteria provided in the Final EIR project description. The operational refinements and other project refinements described in the Addendum, in consideration of potential changed circumstances and new information, do not have the potential to create any new significant adverse environmental effects outside of the scope of the analyses already contained in the previously certified Final EIR or substantially increase the severity of effects previously analyzed in the Final EIR. Since no new or substantially more severe effects will occur, a subsequent EIR or supplement to the certified Final EIR is not required pursuant to CEQA.
