Document Description
The project would install shoulder and centerline rumble strips, telephone demarcation cabinets, piezos, loop dectors, and modify an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The project would replace a guardrail on SR 63 at PM 12.28 and replace 66 traffic signs and their wooden posts. The purpose of the project is to install centerline and shoulder rumble strips, replace traffic signs, and modify ITS elements. The project is needed to address the number and severity of collisions related to vehicles that are leaving the roadway or crossing the centerline and striking vehicles traveling in the opposite direction and bring the non-standard facility elements (traffic signs, ITS elements, etc.) to Caltrans design standards.
