The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted underCalifornia Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20, Section 66270.61, has issued an Emergency Permit toGenentech (EPA ID# CAR000182709, CAR000182634, and CAD080129000) to treat hazardous wastes through a controlledreaction with a chemical solution. Specifically, 4L Tetrahydrofuran, 5L Methyl Teri Butyl Ether, 0.5L Ethyl Ether, 0.6L TeriButyl Methyl Ether, 2L 1,4 Dioxane, 0.1L Cyclopentyl Methyl Ether, 1kg 1-H Benzotriazole, 0.5kg 1-Hydroxybenzotriazole,0.1 kg Sodium Amide, 0.1 kg 2,4 Dinitrophenol, 0.1 kg 2,4 Dinitrophenylhydrazine, 0.1 kg Diphenylphosphoryl Azide, 0.2LBorane THF Complex, 0.25L MEK Peroxide, 0.025kg Potassium, 0.025L 1 H Tetrazole, 0.1 kg Sodium Azide, 1 L Styrene, 1 LMethyl Methacrylate, 0.25L Cyclohexadiene, 0.1 L lsobutyl Vinyl Ether, 0.5kg Benzoyl Peroxide, 0.1 kg 2,2Azobislsobutyronitrile, 0.05kg Diazald, 0.1 kg Diisopropyl Azidocarboxylate, 0.05kg Picrylsulfonic Acid, 0.1 kg 3-Chloroperoxybenzolc Acid, 0.025kg 1-Hydroxy-7-azabenzotriazole, 0.05kg 1,3,5 Trinitrobenzene, 0.1 kg Picric Acid, 0.1 kg Nitrocellulose, 0.05kg Picramic Acid, 0.025kg 5-Amino-1 H-Tetrazole, peroxide forming and shock/temperature sensitive materials, must be stabilized prior to transport to a permitted treatment, storage, and disposal facility.
