Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Stream bed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0244-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Santa Barbara County Flood Control District. The Cold Springs Debris Basin Expansion Project will increase the size of the basin from 1.5 acres to 2.4 acres (0.9 acre total increase) on the west side. The excavation of approximately 19,000 cubic yards of sediment and rock will be hauled from the site. Woody vegetation and trees will also be removed. There are 8 oak trees and 3 sycamore trees that need to be removed as well as 3 non-native tree species in order to expand the basin.
