Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) approved the Removal Action Workplan (RAW) for the Xavier Project located at 977 Danville Boulevard, Alamo, California (hereafter “the Site”). The purpose of the RAW is to reduce the potential risk to human health and the environment from the contaminants of concern (COCs) of lead and arsenic by excavating and removing the contaminated soil. DTSC is overseeing cleanup at the Site under a Standard Voluntary Agreement with Casato Properties, LLC. Project activities that will be conducted pursuant to the RAW include the following: • Excavate an estimated 5,600 cubic yards (CYs) of impacted soil from locations previously identified during Site investigations; • Transport and dispose the impacted soil at a permitted, off-Site landfill; • Post-excavation soil confirmation sampling will be conducted in select locations to validate the removal has been completed in areas where pre-excavation sampling did not find the extent of vertical and/or horizontal extents of COC impacts.
