Document Description
This project will install Countdown Pedestrian Signal (CPS) and Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) system components at 19 locations. Some locations will also require repairing or installing concrete landings, sidewalks, and curb ramps in medians and sidewalk corners. The purpose of the project is to reduce the number of pedestrian and bicycle collisions and to bring APS and CPS devices to current design standards. Installing APS and CPS pushbuttons will improve pedestrian and bicycle crossing movements and better enable pedestrians who are visually or hearing impaired to cross the roadway at signalized intersections.
