Sierra Pacific Industries proposes to rock existing approach to state highway 44 in Lassen County at PM 3.2. Class II base will be spread to a depth of 8 inches to approach specifications provided by CAL TRANS. This approach is in support of an approved Timber Harvest Plan.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed addition of rock base to an existing approach to SR 44 is minor alteration of the existing highway right of way to meet standards and specification. Sierra Pacific Industries has an approved Timber Harvest Plan on file with California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and is the lead agency. The addition of rock base to the approach will have no adverse environmental impacts.
