The Collins Pine Company is interested in donating a 12-mile stretch of old rail line to the Almanor Recreation and Parks District for conversion into a multi-use public "rails-to-trails" green-way. This planning project will complete title surveys and technical studies to assure potential future trail development would be economically feasible and clear of adverse environmental, toxic, geo-technical, and structural engineering issues.
