Document Description
A right-of-entry permit will be issued to San Diego Gas and Electric Company to dig two holes approximately 5ft by 5ft to a depth of 5 feet to uncover and replace existing equipment vents that allow the venting of gas in the case of a gas leak, particularly to prevent gas being trapped beneath the nearby Carlsbad Blvd. Bridge.
Measures to be implemented to avoid impact may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.

No potential for significant impact to the environment is anticipated in compliance with CEQA §15300.4. If the project is implemented as indicated within the CDPR Project Evaluation Form, then it is exempt under CEQA §15304 - Minor Alterations to Land and §15305 - Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitations. The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as:
• "Utility repairs or minor upgrades." (Class 1, Section 15301)
• "Minor trenching and backfilling where the surface is restored" (Class 4, Section 15304); and
• "Issuance of easements and permits." (Class 5, Section 15305).
