Document Description
During the spring runoff of 2017, the 12-inch culvert beneath McDonald Road was overwhelmed, resulting in approximately 1 /2 of the road being washed out. Inyo County proposes to replace the 12-inch CMP culvert with a 48-inch corrugated HDPE culvert in order to re-establish two-way traffic and prevent future washouts.

Reasons for Exemption
McDonald road culvert washed out during the spring runoff of 2017, during a State of Emergency proclaimed by the then State Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. The washout has reduced traffic to one-way on McDonald Road in the project area, the project will re-establish regular service to the public roadway.
