Document Description
The proposed project consists of renovation and improvement of the entry to the treatment plant including signalization and internal circulation. The City of Modesto is the Agency undertaking this project. Various renovations and operational improvements are planned in accordance with the City of Modesto Waste Water Master Plan. Specifically, the following items at the treatment plant will be included:
• Revise and improve the entry/exit intersection geometry at Jennings Road to improve access
• New Traffic Signal at the Jennings Road intersection
• Repave and widen Jennings Road along the frontage of the property to current standards, within current right of way. No new lanes or added roadway capacity are proposed.
• Repave, restripe, and reconfigure the entry/exit roadway and internal circulation within the confines of currently developed area
• Provide new signage consistent with changes

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project encompasses activities pursuant to the operation and maintenance of the existing wastewater treatment plant serving the City of Modesto. No new or additional capacity at the Plant will result from these improvements, and no new or additional roadway capacity will result from the included roadway improvements. All work will be subject to the mitigation requirements of the Wastewater Master Plan EIR. None of the exceptions enumerated Guidelines Section 15300.2 are applicable.
