Document Description
The California Department of Water Resources (DWR), Division of Engineering (DOE). Project Geology Section, proposes to conduct Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) work at eight locations along a transect perpendicular to the West Tracy Fault. At each CPT location, a cone-tipped rod with a diameter of 1.72 inches will be pushed through the ground to measure various parameters including tip resistance, side friction, pore pressure, inclination, and shear wave velocity of the soil layers. The rod will be advanced to a depth of 100 to 150 feet below the soil surface.
