Document Description
The City of Shafter is proposing renovations to its existing Stringham Park, located at 631 James Street. The proposed renovations include a new tot lot, covered picnic areas, outdoor recreation tables, free little library, informational kiosk, and new parking lot within the existing site to facilitate safer access to the park amenities. Stringham Park currently contains four (4) picnic tables and a restroom.

The Shafter Stringham Park renovation project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15302 of the CEQA Guidelines because the proposal is only replacing , reconstructing, and upgrading existing structures, facilities, and playground equipment for park users. No expansion or change in park use is proposed for the project.
