Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has approved a Class 1* Permit Modification to the Hazardous Waste Facility (HWF) Permit for Safety-Kleen of California, Inc. Davis Branch. The modification will authorize the extension of closure activities from October 2019 to June 2020 for removal of "Unit #3 Truck-to-Truck Transfer, Loading, and Unloading Area" from their standardized permit. The extension is needed to complete additional sampling of soil and soil gas underneath their concrete slab. The additional sampling is in response to the detection of contamination in soil. The sampling is needed to measure the extent of contamination and determine a plan to achieve closure.
