Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Stream bed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0020-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Eddie Grauf. The project is limited to restoration of Chandans Creek pursuant the issuance of a Notice of Violation (NOV) on December 6, 2016 for operating equipment on an earthen dam within the channel of Chandans Creek. In order to remedy the current condition, the landowner will remove the earthen dam and materials from Chandans Creek, slope back and harden the remaining earthen berms, and revegetate the area with native species by planting willow and alder stakes, and/or seeding unvegetated areas, as required by a qualified biologist. The dam removal has been designed by an engineer and will be hardened (rock slope protections) to withstand at least a 100-year stormflow event.
