Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0164-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the El Dorado County Department of Transportation as represented by Raphael Martinez. The project is limited to repair and restoration of areas of the South Fork American River bank that were damaged in a 2017 storm. Restoration activities will include replacing rock slope protection (RSP) that was damaged or lost in the storm and placing additional shoulder backing material adjacent to walkways in damaged areas above the RSP slope. Approximately 750 cubic yards of RSP will be placed over a footprint of approximately 6,750 square feet at an average thickness of three feet. Approximately 20 cubic yards of shoulder backing material will be placed over a footprint of approximately 1,080 square feet at an average thickness of six inches. No vegetation removal other than removing loose debris, concrete use, or excavation will occur.
