Document Description
The project is limited to the existing roadway and will be removing the timber deck and steel stringers on a bridge and replacing them with 4 - 15" deep by 4' wide by 32' long precast concrete beams. To install the beams, the current abutments will need to be cut and pulled back. The new beams will be set with a crane and bolted to modified abutments. Gabion baskets filled with clean rocks will be installed within the existing roadway near the top of the abutments on all four corners of the bridge to accommodate guard railing and bridge approaches.
