Document Description
The project proposes to stabilize two sections of the stream channel around Aikawa Pond to restore a dam failure and to prevent future erosion and loss of serpentine vegetation. The project will install four rock grade control structures (check dams) above and below the remains of the Aikawa pond where a recent dam failure has formed two large head cuts that threaten to migrate upstream. Graded banks through the dam blowout will be stabilized with biowattles and 4-inch native grass plugs planted at a density of four per square yard.
