The City of Del Rey Oaks is governed by the City of Del Rey Oaks General Plan
The project consists of the preparation and adoption of an updated Housing Element as part of the City's General Plan. The Housing Element is a policy document rather than a proposal for a specific action. The project includes an analysis of the City's housing needs; identifies various governmental and non-governmental constraints to meeting those needs; establishes reasonable goals, objectives and policies based on those needs; and sets forth a comprehensive list of actions to achieve the identified goals and objectives. The Draft Housing Element has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of California Government Code sections 65580-65589.8 and updates the current Housing Element of the City's General Plan. Upon its adoption, the Housing Element would become part of the City's General Plan.
