April 3, 2024 Addendum: The current initiative addresses the adoption and planned implementation of a Specific Plan for Memorial Park (address: 21121 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, Santa Clara County) that outlines improvements consistent with those envisioned for the park in the City's adopted 2020 Parks and Recreation System Master Plan. The identified improvements include renovations to the amphitheater; a new deck/plaza for the existing senior center; bicycle routes on-site; ADA compliant improvements; and upgrades to the existing softball field, sports courts, playground areas, picnic areas, parking areas, and landscaping on-site.

The Master Plan, which was approved in February 2020, is intended to ensure that the City's park and recreation system meets the needs of the Cupertino community, and to guide the City in allocating resources for future development, renovation and management of City park and recreation facilities through the year 2040. The key components of the Master Plan include vision and goals, systemwide objectives and actions, enhancement opportunities, and associated implementation actions. The Master Plan is focused on City owned or managed developed parks and recreation facilities in Cupertino, including Memorial Park located at 21121 Stevens Creek Boulevard. The Master Plan identified potential improvements to Memorial Park including renovating the amphitheater, expanding the existing senior center, adding bicycle paths, providing ADA accessibility, and other park improvements.
