Document Description
Request by the Department of Public Works for a road widening project to allow for the incorporation of 6-foot Class II bike lanes along the east- and west-bound lanes of Los Berros Road, between approximately Avis Street and Quailwood Lane. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve the safety of cyclists by widening Los Berros Road to incorporate 6-foot Class II bike lanes. Los Berros Road is used by cyclists and is a top priority in the County Bikeways Plan. Los Berros Road is currently 26 to 30 feet wide with Oto 1 .5-foot shoulders. The project is located approximately 3 miles east of the community of Arroyo Grande in the South County planning area (South County Inland sub area), Supervisorial District 4.
