Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to sections 15282(k) and 15301 (c) of the CEQA Guidelines.
• Section 15282(k) exempts the installation of new pipeline or maintenance, repair, restoration, removal, or demolition of an existing pipeline as long as the project does not exceed one mile in
length.
• Section 15301(c) exempts repair or maintenance of existing highways and streets, sidewalks, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trail, and similar facilities.
