Document Description
The project is limited to (1) the sloping of the river right bank up to 500 linear feet, and (2) riparian planting for complexity. The project will alter the location of the toe of the bank slope of only 285 feet of bank, will relax the slope of the cut bank to achieve a 2 horizontal: 1 vertical (2H: 1V) slope where possible, and will partially re-bury the existing well casing that was exposed by high water events in February 2017. Where 2H: 1V slopes are not achievable using on- site sediments, we will create an inset planting bench. Riparian planting will be a combination of native deciduous and conifer shrubs and trees. The sloping will be done in the dry conditions with heavy equipment while the planting may occur during the wet season with hand tools and maybe heavy equipment from the bank. Adaptive management may occur in consultation and with approval by CDFW in writing.
