Document Description
Reconstruct approximately ¼ mile of James Street from the north flowline of Central Avenue to the west flowline of N. Shafter Avenue; install ADA compliant ramps at the intersection corners; and replace existing sidewalks, curbs, and gutters along the east and west sides of the street, where needed. All work will occur within the existing City right-of-way. The project will include the removal of the pavement section to subgrade and replacement with asphalt concrete over compacted Class II base. The maximum depth of excavation wiii be 1. 9 feet. Additional work will include restriping the newly paved roadway, on James Street and the intersecting street intersections. The asphalt concrete, base material, and concrete removed during construction will be come the responsibility of the contractor who will either properly dispose of or recycle the material.
